PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Dr. Muhammad Zakria is senior scientific officer, and in-charge of the ACGT. Dr. Zakria has completed his PhD in Pharmacogenomics from Khyber Medical University, and has been involved in research since 2013. Before assuming the charge at ACGT, Dr. Zakria has worked as Team-Lead in the Public Health Reference lab during the covid-19 pandemic. After joining the ACGT as the founder in charge, he has contributed significantly to establish the genomic sequencing lab of KP-PHRL, working hard to optimize the Sanger and Next-generation Sequencing protocols in ACGT. Dr. Zakria has worked on multiple fronts, from personally designing and performing experiments and supervising samples collection and processing to lab management and correspondence and collaborations with national and international collaborators.
